We began the new calendar year with an inspiring evening featuring Matt Posada, the actor behind the powerful one-man production An Iliad.
Following his remarkable performance, our meeting offered the opportunity to continue the conversation beyond the stage. Matt shared insights into the artistic process behind embodying a story shaped by inner turmoil, war, humanity, and responsibility, as well as the challenge of bringing multiple layers of conflict to life through a single performer.
The evening developed into a thoughtful exchange about theatre’s ability to reflect the tensions of our modern world and confront questions that remain as relevant today as they were in Homer’s time. It was a meaningful and engaging start to the second half of our Rotary year.
