Board transition

This Monday, the board transition of our club took place. We looked at the last 12 months and remembered all the great moments. After that, the current board officially gave power to the board of 2023/24.

Good luck to the new board! We look forward to many great meetings, events and social projects.

The club goes to charter parties

Over the weekend, club members attended the charter parties of two clubs in two different districts.

Some of us attended the founding charter of the newest Rotary club in Disrtict 1820 – RC Kronberg-Victoria. The event took place in Burg Kronberg, and we had the opportunity to meet with many clubs from the District and Elevate Rotaract.

Meanwhile, in District 1860, members of the club celebrated the 50th anniversary of RAC Mainz. The second-oldest German RAC celebrated half a century with a great weekend programme that gave a great opportunity to get to know the marvellous city.

It was a great weekend filled with events, and we look forward to many more.

Twin club meeting

It’s always a great pleasure meeting our Twin club RAC Milano Madunina.

During the EUCO , we had a great opportunity to meet the club and spend some time together. And who can be a better guide than the locals?

Our Italian friends had organized an amazing tour of the Duomo (we even got on the roof), where we learned more about the significance of the landmark. After that we explored the city center and had a typical Italian lunch and unforgettable Gelati.

Can’t wait to meet you again!

EUCO 2023

What a great week at EUCO it was!

We were so happy to be there and be part of the big German group there! 8 of our club members joined the ERIC meeting, the workshops, represented different countries at the country booths, and of course – partied hard.

Until the next International Rotaract event.

Badge of Honor

We are very proud to announce that our member – Nadia von Österreich – was awarded the highest possible award in Rotaract/Rotary Germany.

During the DETS last weekend, she received the Badge of Honor, which goes to Rotaractors and Rotarians who have made immense contributions to the club, the district and Rotaract Germany.

Nadia is a person that embodies the values of Rotary and Rotaract and is someone every member of our club looks for inspiration and guidance. She is always there for us, although she is highly involved in Rotaract on a national level and has a successful career besides all that. We can always rely on her ideas and experience to serve better our community and society.

Our club thanks Nadia for her contributions throughout the years, and we look forward to many more successful projects inspired and led by her.

Rotary Action Day 2023

On the weekend, our club supported @rotaryeschborn in Rotary Action Day.During the Eschenfest we spoke with locals and visitors about Shelterbox, and collected donations for the cause.
We also sold foods and drinks to further raise money.
Thanks to everyone who supported the initiative.

Our Charity Concert

Our Charity Concert last night was a great success!
With all the tickets sold, we raised 758.50 EUR! In addition, donations were made at the concert to round the sum to 1000 EUR!
All the proceedings are going to helpucation e.V.

Special thank you to everyone for making this action possible!

DeuKo 2023

Thank you for the great weekend!

Over the last three days, we meet with bright individuals and clubs from all over the country. During the plenum on Saturday and Sunday, we exchanged ideas and experiences. And during Friday evening and Saturday evening – we partied hard.

And let’s not forget, our Nadia von Österreich had the honor to assist the first female president of Rotary International – Jennifer Jones – during her visit to the conference.

Until next year!

P.s.: it is not easy to make people look in the same camera.

Go-kart

Last weekend, members and guests of the club gathered for a team building. 12 of us for a go-kart race. After a quick qualifying and intense 22 rounds, we found out who is the fastest out of us.

Congratulations to the winner!

Stay tuned for our next events.

District conference

Over the weekend, our club had the pleasure to attend the third District Conference for the Rotarian year. The event took place in Kassel over the weekend and included a RYLA seminar.

We also had the opportunity to elect a new District Speaker.

New Year’s reception

The New Year’s reception 2023 from Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Region 6 took place on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

300 Rotarians and Rotaracters celebrated friendship and the Rotarian family in the Chamber of Commerce at Börsenplatz in Frankfurt. At 12 noon, after the welcome from the organizer (president Christoph Linhart from our sponsor club Rotary Eschborn) we received a welcome from the host and governor and a speech from Prof. Dr. Heinz Riesenhuber (former federal minister for research and technology). This was an extremely inspirational speech on “Winners of the turning point – is Rotary part of it?”

We had an amazing day and were happy to help making this day a success. A big thanks to all members who helped and volunteered that day!

Tree planting

Last weekend, more than 200 Rotarians and their families gather in the City Forest of Frankfurt. Alongside them, members and guests of our club combined efforts and helped plant more than 5400 trees.

The initiative is a combined effort of the Rotarian and Rotaract clubs in Frankfurt, Frankfurt area and Eschborn.

Altogether, the clubs not only raised more than 10.000 € but also gathered together to plant the trees themselves.

Let’s make the planet a better place to live!

P.S.: special thank you to everyone who made this project possible. Without your effort, it would not have been such a success.

Career Day

Yesterday, members of our club had the pleasure to attend the annual Careers Day organized by RC Eschborn. During the 2 hours fair, the participants presented their professions to young students. The students had the opportunity to ask questions about our studies and professional life.

Looking forward to next year’s event.

Wine tour

Last weekend, members of our club had the pleasure to join the wine tour organized by RC Frankfurt-International and RC Frankfurt Rhein-Main. We started the tour by visiting the Diefenhardt winery and learning how to taste wine. After that, under the sunny skies and with a glass of wine, we walked through the wine fields near Eltville am Rhein. During the whole, we had the opportunity to meet many new friends from both clubs. Thanks for having us!

Twin club meeting

After 3 years of delay (you can guess why) we finally meet with our Twin Club RAC Milano Madunina.

During our weekend together we visited the Neuschwanstein Castle, climbed on the top of Mittelberg, rode an Alpine coaster and tasted Italian and German cuisine.

We also exchanged experience in organizing social projects, organizing events, and gaining new members.

Visit to Kronberg Academy

At the beginning of the week, members of our club had the pleasure to visit the Casals Forum in Kronberg. The tour was organized by our sponsor club – RC Eschborn – and was guided by the manager of Kronberg Academy- Raimund Trenkler (and member of RC Frankfurt/Main Skyline). During the 1,5h visit, we explored the new buildings and learned more about the concept behind the new buildings.

District conference

Over the weekend, our club had the pleasure to attend the first District Conference for the Rotarian year. The event took place in Frankfurt and Hanau.

In the evening on Friday, we joined a party boot on Main. We partied with fellow Rotaractors from the whole District. On the next morning, we were joining the lectures and workshops led by the District Speaker (and member of our club) – Ieva Martinsone.

We also had the pleasure to join the workshop of another member of ours – Nadia von Öesterreich.

We are looking forward to the next conference in Wiesbaden.

Documenta Fifteen

Over the weekend, our club had the pleasure to visit Documenta Fifteen. Our friends from RAC Kassel invited us to join them and other clubs from the District for the weekend. They had prepared an eventful program. We had the opportunity to not only visit the art exhibition, but to explore the city. And of course – to party together.

Thanks to their organizing tour, we understood better the event and its significance.

We can’t wait to visit Kassel again.

Summer Intercity Meeting District 1820

Last Friday, our club had the pleasure to host the first Intercity meeting for this year.

Over 25 Rotactors from different clubs across District 1820 gathered at Friedberger Platz in Frankfurt. With a glass of wine, we enjoyed the nice summer weather. We not only discussed different topics from the world of Rotaract and Rotary, but we also made new friendships.

Later on, for the people with a party spirit, we moved to a bar nearby and enjoyed the night.

We hope to see you again very soon!
